Oilseeds & Specialty Products Exporter from India
Sesame, groundnut kernels, guar gum, psyllium husk and makhana — purity-graded, sortex-processed, food and industrial grades.
Quick answer: Green Plus EXIM exports Indian oilseeds and specialty agricultural products — sesame seeds (hulled and natural), groundnut kernels (bold and java), guar gum, psyllium husk, makhana and dehydrated onion and garlic. Groundnut kernels were a USD 823 million export line for India in 2024 and guar gum USD 417 million, with the USA the largest guar gum market.
Indian oilseeds and specialty products
This category holds some of India's strongest global positions — not in headline volume terms, but in market share. India is the dominant world supplier of guar gum and psyllium husk, became the largest sesame seed exporter in 2023, and is a major groundnut origin supplying Southeast Asian markets.
We export sesame (hulled and natural), groundnut kernels, guar gum, psyllium husk, makhana, jaggery and dehydrated onion and garlic.
Aflatoxin is the defining compliance issue here
For groundnut in particular, aflatoxin is the single most important quality parameter. EU and Japanese limits are strict and strictly enforced, and groundnut is inherently among the highest-risk commodities. Pre-shipment testing isn't a nice-to-have on this product — it's the difference between a clean delivery and a destroyed container.
We arrange aflatoxin testing on request and strongly recommend it for any groundnut shipment to a regulated market. Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or your nominated agency) can be arranged on request.
Food grade vs industrial grade
Guar gum is the clearest example of why grade specification matters in this category. Food-grade guar gum for thickening and stabilising is a different product, at a different price and specification, from industrial-grade guar used in oil and gas drilling fluids. Specify which you need — viscosity, mesh size and purity requirements differ substantially.
Purity grading
Most products in this category are sold on purity grades achieved through machine cleaning and sortex colour-sorting — sesame at 99%, 99.5% or 99.95%, groundnut by count and defect tolerance, psyllium by purity percentage. Higher purity costs more to produce, so buy the grade your application actually needs rather than the highest available.
Which markets buy these products?
Groundnut kernels go substantially to Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. Guar gum's largest market is the USA, with Russia and Germany following. Dehydrated onion moves to the USA, Brazil and Germany. Individual product pages carry the cited country-level data as they're published.

Oilseeds & Others export FAQs
Bold (runner) and Java (Spanish) types are the main export grades, specified by count per ounce, moisture, oil content and aflatoxin limits. Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines are among India's largest groundnut markets.
Guar gum is a natural hydrocolloid used as a thickener and stabiliser in food, and — in its industrial grade — in oil and gas drilling fluids. India dominates world production. The USA is the largest single market, largely driven by industrial demand.
Psyllium husk (isabgol) is the seed husk of Plantago ovata, used as a soluble-fibre dietary supplement and in pharmaceutical formulations. India is the dominant global supplier, with production concentrated in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Hulled sesame has had the seed coat mechanically removed — whiter, softer, used in bakery and tahini, and priced at a premium with a shorter shelf life. Natural sesame retains the coat and is preferred for oil crushing. See our sesame seeds page.
Yes, on request — and for groundnut it's effectively essential. Aflatoxin limits are strictly enforced in the EU and Japan, and groundnut is one of the highest-risk commodities for it.
Yes. Makhana demand has grown rapidly in health-snack channels. Note that its HS classification is one we're still confirming with customs authorities, so allow for that in your import planning.
